December post ! Although I missed my favourite November but hey , better late than never .

It's a little pathetic that every year in December I happen to somehow resolve to have closure but in reality it only really happens a year or two later . The paradox of knowing whats probably best but taking a gamble with the intention to salvage important ties and whatnot but then realizing eventually it's a lost cause . Too bad because when the resentment tides over , such things are only important by matter of perspective . Some ties are just in an inverse relationship with contentment .

Sigh . Just forgetting it . Sad is better than bitter anyway .

Moving on , appreciating the little things in life , exercise and work has been pretty consistent and I hope it stays that way . Arts and crafts have been too little so I gotta work on that .

Hey there. Just a thought, it looks like blogging is a dying fad , but it still works for me; seeing that this is mostly a personal blog and i am not concerned about the hits. The past couple of days has been slightly rough for me, seeing that i am considering minor (?) surgery and have been taking antibiotics religiously. It is probably nothing to worry about though. Just feeling sleepy and tired due to the medicine. Then again, it's not all bad, considering nothing is lethal and i can opt not to do anything if i so wish for it.

Counting my blessings since it takes something like this, read, impacts deeply on a personal level, that makes me change for the better. You know, to re-evaluate life choices, behavior, and whatnot. I guess most humans are weak beings that don't appreciate life and what they have in it as much as they should till it throws them a curve ball.

Or maybe it's just me.

I've always known that i am too apathetic (something only i would know). Too empty, too little things that concern me. So i guess it's time to change that. But the simplicity can remain. I like simplicity and consistency.

Maybe for this very reason, i am terribly uninterested in politics. Yes, i do my due research, make sure i know who i want to vote for. But in the end, the results don't bother me very much.

Still, it will be interesting!

I haven't blogged about my wishlist for a very long time. The only pressing thing is, i want to grow out my hair and dip dye the ends a lighter ash shade. Right now, good progress have been made on the length:

Although say if i am not having an office job, im definitely trying a blue shade!

Ok time to end off with the 2 purchasable things on my wishlist at the moment:

A new 3DS XL in blue.

And i'm kind of taken by the iPad Pro, with the Apple Pencil of course. Another plus point its released in November. But i already have the iPad Air. Unfortunately the Apple Pencil is only for the iPad Pro. Decisions decisions.

Hi there !

i know it's been a long time since i blogged . okay , scratch that , it has been a really long time . sorry about the hiatus if you have been keeping tabs on this space .

sadly , i tend to blog most frequently when i am bothered about something and would like to pen down my thoughts for some closure . lately i have been doing that less .  i have since been rather detached as feelings have been so fickle and so fleeting that it is all a matter of perspective . nonetheless clinging on to those moments and making something out of it- that may be something philosophers do . that and being cryptic . 

but i do intend to keep up writing (especially since i want to be an author in the somewhat near future) . taking baby steps to improve slowly , somehow , somewhere . just thinking about adding this into the endless list of personal projects i have makes me cringe , a little .

let's hope i manage to pick up some gems there .

Naked2 Palette from Urban Decay

I find this really quite good , and this is coming from someone who has never wandered into the realm of eyeshadows before this . Then again , this may make my opinion somewhat shallow .

The palette is a December present for myself since i always wanted to explore more makeup avenues instead of the normal , just eyeliner routine .

Although i must admit that eyeshadow uses more time than i would like so you'll probably only see me use it once in awhile , like today for my company's dinner and dance :)

here's my new year's resolution for 2015:

-get enough exercise (i've been swimming once a week on almost all weeks)
-balance my work (been going home/out at a reasonable time)
-do crafts (every once in awhile like my gengar bookmark and tyranitar gijinka)



Let's hope i keep it up !

2014 hasn't been the greatest of years , but it hasn't been the worst either .

I guess i've learnt to better manage expectations and not expect for everything to be handed to me on a silver platter . No solutions yet on managing the hate however , and that seems to be occurring a tad too often lately . It's always easy to live and let live , to forgive and forget but that feels like i'm letting myself down because some people just don't deserve it .

eventful always comes with multiple feels but that's another story for another day .
just a tad overwhelmed and flighty maybe .

bought myself a new bed , mattress and wardrobe ~
they arrived last thursday and i've been in love with them since !

what i really like about buying furniture from shops is you probably will get to customize them .

and so my wardrobe is charcoal with ash panels ,
bed is black with bling bling and with 6 inches high stands at the bottom

Surprise update !

not expecting it , were you ?
the story behind this post- i took 2 days of leave to refresh and rejuvenate myself , to prepare for the upcoming tasks ahead , and also as a reward to self for working really hard the past few weeks .
truth to be told i haven't been making full use of my weekends plus leave cuz for one i have been heading out , for two i have been really busy with Fire Emblem Awakening :D
 
since i'm not exactly in the mood to talk about my social life ,
let's move on to Fire Emblem Awakening (played on my NDS console)

in my opinion , this game shouldn't be played without reading any guides if you would like to optimize your characters . there are a total of 3 things to consider in the game: class , skill , and parenting .
class and skill are correlated , so we'll look at class first .

you have the option of using second seals or master seals once your character hits lvl 10-

second seal to reclass (say you want to reclass a 'fighter' class to a 'thief' or 'babarian' class) and master seal to advance their class ('fighter' class can be advanced to either a 'hero' or 'warrior' class)

advanced classes are of course much stronger , but base classes give you more exp .
if you are not in a hurry to get skills , you can opt to use second seal first to stay in a base class to level and improve your stats before using a master seal to advance the character . for me i always get my characters to max their lvl (20)- to gain stats , before using any seals .

as for skills , generally base classes learn the skills exclusive to their class at lvl 1 and 10 , and advanced classes at lvl 5 and 15 . so depending on which skill you would like to get , you can train them up and then reclass to learn skills for another class .

lastly on parenting , any 2 units that achieve an s rank support will be married so you can pick who you want a character to marry (including your own avatar) . just pair them up and use them together in fights . you can try serenesforest for the list of which parent equals to which child .

as for the best pairings , just look up on some guides :)

(because the opinions are really really varied and i haven't played that far/too lazy to ascertain the pairings for myself)

you can choose virtually anyone for your character to marry though ,
no prizes for any correct guesses which one is mine :p

Olo ~ i'm back , didcha miss me ?
this has got to be my longest hiatus yet , hope that you guys still visit this space at times :)

work has been piled up sky high for me so i've been spending time with work mostly .
fell sick thereafter and spent my off day and weekends recuperating .

by recuperating i mean mostly lazing at home reading lots of manga like an otaku and getting insane amounts of sleep . works wonders for me ! i feel at least 80% recovered already .

that being said i've been having lots of weird cravings lately , so much so i'm being to doubt myself .

first and foremost , i finally visited the magnum pop up store which was along collyer quay so it was pretty scenic . (i generally like settings by the river)

had a tad too much flowers for me to stomach though .

the astonishing thing that i've been trying out lately is :


salad ! who would've figured .
and what's more alarming is that this is the 2nd salad i'm trying .

to put it frankly , i'm have never been a huge believer nor fan of salad .

why-
1. carbs are my main diet
(say in a pasta dish , my favourite part of it would be the pasta and not the meat/sauces etc.)
2. i dislike most veges and salads are loaded with them
3. salads do not help you to lose weight due to the dressing which is fattening , and the amount is huge

nowadays though , i am more open to salads because i realized that for a salad base , normally romaine lettuce or penne pasta are available as choices (which i would opt to mix) . i like pasta and lettuce so the base is a win win for me . also , my workplace at novena has at least 2 stalls which offer a variety of ingredients to choose from (i even chose orange and grape as seen above)

so yep .
even if salad doesnt help me to lose weight it contributes to healthy eating i suppose .
i do want to be more healthy , and also to cut down on meat , so it's good for healthy , meatless days .

which is normally a challenge for me because i don't really touch much vegetables .

my other favourite meatless meals include:
arrabiata , subway's egg mayo , home cooked vegetarian meat dumplings with rice

the reason for going vegan once in awhile for me is mainly so i don't kill or eat animals !

moving on , some new tea i tried !
forgot the name of the cafe but it was nice and quaint , somewhere along dhoby .

and i've been on a pants craze lately , been searching for a perfect pair .
