Hello there !

i haven't been intentionally missing in action , in fact i did blog an entry last week .
look at this screenshot as evidence:


well , what happened to it was that i had a draft saved in my note 2 .
obviously i blog with my laptop so i went to further lengthen and post my entry on my laptop .
so the other day i decided to draft another something or other using my note 2 again , but that somehow caused my entry to disappear and to be replaced by only the draft i had previously .

now you know . and i'm lazy to re-do the entire entry so here is a new one .

if you are still interested , for summary's sake i talked about my new purchases -
i.e. crumpler bag and note 2 in titanium grey .

yup i super love them ;

as for my note 2 , i'm liking it so far :)

only thing is , i prefer the camera quality for iphone .

lately i've been taking to a wearing sports bra every single day due to a certain reason ,
but i'm liking it and i'm not sure if it'll be a permanent thing or not . ironically it makes me feel liberated .

(oops sorry if reading that just made you uncomfortable .)

the last thing that i am posting about is my latest addiction to tower of saviors .

its sort of like an RPG and strategy game that i have been seriously into .
also it has to be the first ever smartphone game i spend so long playing .

simple analysis would tell you that it is cuz the game has my 2 favorite elements , namely RPG and monsters .

also i can spend the whole day fighting odin:
(technically cuz i am working and can only play during those in between periods)

currently i have the elements to evolve my flamisaur but i need to lvl him up to 50 first .
(flamisaur is currently at lvl 38)

the funny thing is most of those whom i recommended it to are now a higher lvl than me even though they started later *pulls sad face* so anyway , drop me a note if you decide to start playing/are currently playing so i can add you up :D

this upcoming week is going to be quite tiring for me , more so than the past few weeks , so just wait for it to be over and i can start blogging more . need to go churn up some drawings before going for wolverine (soo looking forward) later !

today i'm just going to be blogging about daily life , so read only if you are interested in err ... my life ?

presenting first a few selfies seeing as how they are occuring lesser these days .

there are currently 2 pieces of clothing i really wish to have in my wardrobe , mmm .
(i obsess about them almost every other week)
first is the zara skort which you have probably seen around at least once ,
second is the kenzo tiger jumper .
while we are at this , throw in a baseball jacket as well .


i want the wrap skort mostly for my oversized sweaters/tees/hoodies , you name it .
it looks versatile and good for oversized tops ,
but since it's a pretty unique piece , i think you got to wear it to know whether it works for you .

from the sound of the second piece it's already no surprise ,
when you put tiger and jumper together ; that has to be like 2 of my greatest loves of all times ~

i think you already know this , but mostly i try to blog an entry every week , because not only does it help me relax and help me put some things in order , i feel it prevents me from getting writers block and art block .
(you know when you really want to write something or draw something but no matter what you write or draw it's not good enough ?)

and of course the most important reason is for people who like to check out and read this space !

this week i have also been battling with weight issues . am putting on weight again which is of course not desirable so restrict me from being a glutton please , because i am so much of a glutton at times .
the only consolation i have is that my skin and hair have been really great ;
anddd a quick update on my hair is that i more or less want to keep it long again ,
then get it back to all black or dip dye the ends ;
though i must admit that with this weather i may be more prone to sudden impulses and chop it off again .

also i've been increasingly feeling like i need more time to myself and i absolutely cannot wait till october .

these weeks have been crazy packed cuz i head out almost everyday if not everyday ,
days where i don't it's spent working till late .


for this recent (maybe not so recent) period of time , i have been rather emotionally detached because :

i don't exactly feel like giving , and i'm not playing for keeps . 

sometimes i feel it could be due to routine that i gravitate towards this behavior/mentality and i should do something about it . others ,  i don't think there's anything i'm doing wrong and nothing needs fixing .

sorry , you know i am by nature , paradoxical .

i will sincerely try for a longer post next time . bye for now !

sometimes i feel like my mind is exceptionally active whereas my being is exceptionally lazy .

scratch that i think it's almost always .

i constantly churn out too many ideas ; topics for my blogposts but i'm only able to focus on a few of them ,
if not i'd risk the post being too lengthy with no head nor tail whatsover .
my mind is constantly working , meandering and pondering over useless and irrelevant details ,
but my person is too lazy to do much ; for example packing my room , packing my clothes and also encounters problems in focusing-
difficulty in starting on personal tasks set aside , such as doing research and drawings for naruto/kakashi (commission for juz) , one surprise birthday piece , commission for merlyn and my beloved sir crocodile .

but i'll deal with that one step at a time . for now let's get on with this blog post !
didcha miss me during my longer than usual , albeit not by much absence ? hah .

this week i've been taking life at a slow and lazy pace just how i like it , comfortable .
*really feel like some fat and contended animal , i'm serious*
especially since i always consume tons of milk in various forms .

first things first ,  

if you read my bio (which most people don't) , i hope to become a freelance illustrator someday .
something that follows my interest in art , preferably and especially in anime/manga form .
it's just that i've yet to seriously contemplate whether i should strive to be a manga artist or sell merchandise .

i am really really hyped up for october !
2 big things are gonna be happening , trip to japan and release of pokemon x and y .
i'll share with you more about japan when the itinerary is done .

right now i just want to nag to you about XY .

to tell you the truth i have really mixed feelings !
i like it that xy are going to bring in pokemon from gen 1 , 2 etc . and houndour , really ?
i'm thinking that my team will have fennekin , tyranitar and houndoom .
and i've been thinking of doing a tyranitar gijinka to commemorate (already in progress)
but well some 3d games make me giddy so i can't spend too long .

we'll see of course and i'll give you my reviews when i get my hands on it :D
12th October or so !

best thing is that merlyn has gotten her 3ds as well so we can head down and get it together ~
(still perpetually confused on whether to get X or Y but most likely it will be X)


third thing ,

random tidbits about my daily life .

the lights on my corridor leading to my house are spoilt -
in the sense it gives me disco lights every time i come home .
normally i wouldn't complain but after work i'm usually half dead ;
so the disco lights make me feel like i'm going to have an episode and faint  -. -

i really want to go to the new shopping mall jem at jurong east !

i finally got the feline meow shirt that i have been eying on for a very long time on blogs .
mine is the black one with white letters of course .
got it from bugis street 
i'd be super elated if i could find a sweater/hoodie version out in stores though .

Due to piling up work as usual ,
i've been especially charmed by the idea of having a stay cation and doing all sorts of relaxing stuff .
stay cation will hopefully be next year because i'm going to japan from 27th October till 7th November . granted that both me and jamie are quite busy , we haven't exactly finalized our japan plans yet and only our tickets are booked .

although it's only approximately 4 more months to go till japan ! *glee*

found my partner for stay cation and i'm super looking forward to that too .
let me share with you why ; different people have different ideas about what they would like to do for a holiday , some may prefer thrilling ones with lots of theme parks (like jamie) ,
but for me what i like is a lazy holiday .
the best kind of getaway would be at a beach resort ,
visit some scenic places and perhaps go for stargazing at night .

haha , cuz i'm boring like that :p
but you have to admit it looks exciting and gorgeous no ?

so stay cations appeal to me because it is a lazy getaway and i can chill at the beach/pool !
probably visit some attractions that i have yet to go to yet- like gardens by the bay .

and because i'm fixated on the idea of a comfortable holiday , when i go overseas i always want to stay at a hotel that has bathtub(s) and hopefully visit pools/beaches- at japan we are hitting the onsens .
luckily my current and to be travel partners always seem more than willing to indulge my quirks :D
(perhaps they secretly like bathtubs and beaches too)

for now that's enough about getaways and holidays .

the scarf is really long and it ends nicely before the end of my skirt like so:

yup the end of my dress has leopard prints that matches the scarf !

you know i try my best but sometimes i'm just too busy or lazy .
since i have quite abit of free time today , i'm squeezing out this entry for you ! :)

if the previous post is anything to go by ,
you guys are probably quite sick of my philosophical nonsense by now ; so it will be saved for the next post .
for this one , here are some pictures to sum up my day yesterday :


told ya i have zero interest in taking pictures of food (nor movie tickets) .
but i do have a pension for taking pictures of beverages especially pretty ones like my himalayan tea latte above .

also made full use of my time at F21 cuz on days that i feel too lazy to try clothes , i window shop .
happened to see quite alot of pieces i liked in F21 when window shopping the other day .
so yesterday i picked a total of 4 pieces ,
which is the maximum number of items able to be brought in , and tried all 4 ~

these few months are favoring me as the fashion that hits the stores are what i fancy :3

recently i'm big on muscle tees(t-shirt style without sleeves) and sweaters(as usual) .
hoodies are good too but it's not very often that shops stock up with good looking ones with appropriate thickness .

for me i dig casual clothes that are street chic or grunge style and avoid girly styles like a plague .
(girly meaning pink , frills , etc .)
as for work clothes i deviate towards bodycon dresses and maxi dresses .
(so i have to constantly work hard to maintain my weight)
although i lean towards the tomboyish style more ,
i dislike wearing pants cuz they are not comfy and i need to think what to match them with .

oh casual days are spent in shorts of course .

(which is probably also a bad habit which i shouldn't pick up :p)

cross top is to give me variation and add on to my collection of muscle tees ! (currently at 4)

any opinions on whether i should get the olive shorts ?

Hello ! did you miss me while i was gone ?

sorry for the long wait . as y'all probably know by now , i've been living and breathing work this week so i haven't exactly had the time to catch that much of a breather . i'm grateful that i finally have some time now , but i remain rather perturbed about the fact that today is already a sunday and i don't have much time left .

in fact i had the urge to rant a couple of days ago because lack of time and lack of sleep increases my crankiness levels . still . visiting this space always helps ! i feel this sense of tranquility settling , but it's almost always disrupted by some strange bug paying a late night visit to my room =-= .

as you can tell , this post will be more of a word post , so a little detour and picture before i continue .

i've been doing some research on colouring techniques online and found this tutorial i favourited in my deviantart account quite some time ago:

so i went ahead and tested it on my perona piece:
it's obviously still a work in progress so stay tuned .
skin is perfectly ok but hair is not so . will be tweaking it a little , hopefully i can get desirable end results .

also this is increasing my urges to get a tablet since i feel it'd definitely help with the colouring process .
current wishlist include a tablet , camera and jamie and my japan trip .
which hopefully i can get a camera first to bring to the japan trip late this year .
geez . i seem to be living on minimum subsistence and so i conclude that  i need more money .

on to the next point of this post , i realized that self-centered people do have a lot of common ideologies .
even if the degree and type varies . the one that rings most true is probably this statement:

we accept the love we think we deserve

what do you think ?

i never shortchange myself and i do live by this principle .
deserve is a strong word which could translate to having high expectations ; because nobody would think they deserve less , but rather more ; and there are many reasons why the other party doesn't catch your interest , be it petty trivial reasons or something more major . nonetheless i don't believe it's easy to find someone deserving .

i admit that is most likely because we would be looking at a perfect person , a perfect situation and/or a perfect timing but no one is perfect , people fall short and circumstances and time may not be in favor .
i suppose over time , things may change yet remain the same .

it's hard to explain really , but what i'm trying to say is , some opinions may change , but ultimately it won't affect my ideals and it won't hamper my way of living . kind of like an adaption and not a change .

also , this serves as a reality check to give and take as and when deemed fit .
to move forward , risks need to be taken and decisions have to be made .
not to just remain headstrong and stubborn .

now i really need my sleep , i'm too lazy to blog anymore so this will have to suffice for a week
(or maybe a couple) , sorry if it bores you !

I've been rather productive this month of April :D

on average i blog about 2 times a month but with this post , for april i will blog 4 .
apart from blogging , i've been busy with work but i still managed to complete 2 decent pieces ;
and also gotten my paws hands on some really cool stuff ,

faux chanel fuck sweater:

super like this but didn't get it because it was just too thick .
it's thicker compared to all the jackets and sweaters in my wardrobe .
