Hello ~

initially i wanted to blog about something more deep since my last few posts have been somewhat picture posts and you might be sick of seeing me plastered all over my blog , but i thought about it ; and hey , i give up , i'm just gonna be plastering more . i'm too tired to follow through with a philosophical post as it requires too much thought which i don't really have the mood for .

(and the less you hear of my philosophy the better it is for you i think)

haha ! anyway normally deep posts are triggered by something which i brush aside quite fast .
you can tell i'm not a dangerous person since i am simple . take for example when i get angry , it's a simple kind of anger . i won't spend my time plotting on how to extract revenge or anything as tiresome as that (though i sometimes hold grudges) . i just vent it at that point in time and feel happy or guilty afterwards .

sometimes though , i think i may have anger management issues because i have uncontrollable reactions . such as i can literally feel the blood rushing to my face or rushing through my body , at other times i can't help myself shaking or beginning to tear from anger .
(luckily i don't experience the tearing reaction nowadays)

being naturally apathetic as i am; and even more so lately , i keep brushing my emotions aside ; that's why you don't see any self reflections in italics captioned at the top or bottom of each post like i used to do . at this point in time i don't care if i'm not being healthy , i just feel a little tired .
d'you think i should be bothered by this ?

ok , it's now time to show you my new year haul so far !

people get new year shoes but i gotz new year slippers :D

tell me it looks nice and i'll be very happy :p

the first new year dress i bought:


all the dresses i bought are crazy short D:
but they were too pretty i couldn't resist .

here is my second:
bodycon dress i love !
as much or more than i love bandage skirts .
because it's super easy to wear with any cardigan/sweater/jacket .

after falling in love with turquoise all over , decided that my new year colour it'll be .
went ahead and got myself another one:

erm .
i know there may not be much obvious difference from the first one but here are 5:
 
-longer
-less richer in colour
-different material
-puffed sleeves
-pockets

i dislike puffed sleeves but since im gna be wearing my trusty sweaters anyway , it's all good .

my other 2 new year clothes is a cream top and brown dress .
no photos of them yet so next time .

well , this is technically my first post of 2013 !

hope everyone is doing fine , and cheers to new happy beginnings .
the first few days of 2013 have been interesting to say the least and that's a good thing .
i dislike it very much when my life starts to feels stagnant , because i know then i'm in for a dry spell . did i forget to mention , i really hate dry spells and it is in my nature to react to each one with a terribly foul mood .
roller coasters are much better be it good or bad ; but of course , one can always secretly and greedily hope for it to be good consistently . lol .

truth to be told , my new year resolution will be the same as always .
lose more weight , eat less meat , own more pretty gadgets/items , start practicing on more sketches and complete more pieces for a decent portfolio , get another account up and running (blogger or wordpress)
but the day you see me taking new year's resolution seriously is when the resolution is to see the results of my resolutions . confusing ?

okok , i will put in some efforts to these resolutions since i like 2013 .

had a good shopping haul during the weekend which makes me happy and relaxed .
the retail therapy got rid of most of the rebellious mood hovering over me like a haze the previous week , and for that i'm grateful . by rebellious i imply that even when i'm unprovoked , i get the urge to do things in a way that will cause others inconvenience or pain .
(yup normally this reflex only kicks in when provoked , and not to everyone)

first loot was at cotton on , where i went to pick up a new cardigan and some basic tops/skirts .
and got myself a new fb dp as a bonus . how cool is that . hah .
wore merl's present while out shopping ♥

eyesight for my right eye is deteriorating and i find that when i wear specs it helps me to focus better , even though it has no degree . in the event that i need to wear specs , i will consider just changing the lens for this pair because i really really like it so getting a new pair would be a waste .

reminiscing my childhood i faintly (ok maybe not so faint) recall praying daily for spectacles and to be a boy . but now that i think about it , i'm very happy without specs and being a girl thank you very much .

i've been super into bandage skirts lately !
i got this pair and another blue patterned one . 
and didn't get this because it was too tight to feel comfy .
nor this cuz material felt too weak to resist my violent tendencies .

i swore i rotated this so idk what happened .
this haul from watsons made me rather elated as well .
hahaha because i like having new shampoo to use . and new combs .
the rest are just an added bonus .

ending off with the basic top from cotton on i talked about just now .
(the other one is grey in colour so just picture it yourself)

recently i've had long periods of rest ♥
same goes for you as well i suppose , what with all the public holidays and eves .

other than going out , i've been busy gaming , reading and photoshopping (not so much) .
downloaded RO2 and waiting for the 3rd . i'm not sure whether it'll be suitable for my liking cuz although i dig RPGs , quite a few with 3d graphics make me a little nauseous .

i hope i like it though .
i've decided that im gna make my character a beastmaster . 

in the meantime i'm working on my black 2 again .

oh btw , my samurrot is currently at lvl 96 , arcanine lvl 99 , haxourus at lvl 94 , tyranitar lvl 88 and kyruem lvl 91 . they go through fast and impressive level ups cuz i'm training them at black city to complete my team of 6 with a shiny garchomp which i will name midnight :D

*you will get a shiny gible when you complete 10 lvls of black tower (i've just completed lvl 9)*

funny that my team so far all have natures that i like or fit my own .
and all of their highest stat is their attack , just the way i like it .
cool or what ? *grins*

recently my hair has been treating me well , but my skin not so much .
weight still alright so i guess overall it's not so bad ~

finally went and got myself a new denim shirt .

i've been watching alot of movies as of late ,
the hobbit , cz12 , wreck it ralph , les miserables and the guillotines .
(because the movies keep increasing , i have to keep editing this post)

so i'll talk about movies for abit .

when i watch a movie , normally after the movie , there will always be something that impacts me the most and that will be (to me) the main moral of the story . you know like as in literature ?

but somehow the take home lesson for me (i feel) sometimes differs from the intention of the maker .

so for your entertainment , the above titles :

the hobbit-  

a little background is that although i dont have any favourite characters , the one i like the most is probably thorin , the leader of the dwarfs .



why , because he is strong , lacks trust and angry ; but at the same time he has emotions that make him human (or dwarf , however you want it) . probably a hard shell with a soft center .

and he has all his loyal followers even though he may be a jerk at times .

also he is the type that holds on tightly to grudges despite the countless pleas to let it go for his own good which mostly fall on deaf ears .

i totally understand . stubborn ppl ftw .

so yup , what captured my attention the most in the movie was his fight with the pale orc .

whom he easily overpowered in the first encounter probably due to his anger ,
moreover was easily overpowered in the second but saved by bilbo's intervention .

lesson- not to be overconfident in your own abilities and seemingly weak people sometimes have strong hearts

* but the main character is the hobbit as the title so suggests , hence the lesson i believe , should be to never be afraid to keep trying and even though you don't have any special abilities , you could be the one that makes a difference *

it's just that i can relate to thorin's character more *mutters*

cz12- 

a sit back and relax movie , not much thinking needed .
don't get me wrong , it is a good action movie :)


no differing opinions here but i don't exactly believe in the moral of the story .

* movie seems to revolve around being a good person , and as a plus point you will be rewarded . because the good things only happened after the gang abandon thievery and take dramatic measures to be the good guys . cliche . *


wreck it ralph-

story isn't too shabby , pretty nice and sweet .
i think this is the other movie i got the message brought across right and i can bring myself to believe in the lesson .

 * doesn't matter if you are deemed as a misfit , you just have to have the strength to try hard and give it your best ; someone who will be able to accept and love you for what you are will come along *

les miserables-





 note to self : will think twice about watching musicals in future .

though i think (?) that les miserables is good because the story runs smoothly and i can totally imagine how it will be like if it's not a musical ; probably i would enjoy it about 10 times more if it's not .
predictable throughout though .

although i don't know much about musicals i think the acting was great .

and not forgetting hugh jackman of course ♥

because once again we were subjected to the first row seat , his character's proportion sometimes seemed out of whack ; face at times a little distorted , and at times he seems a little fat . can't tell if it's because he's playing an older character or it's the angle that i'm viewing from .

but nontheless , me like .

another note to self: first row seats at bugis+ are much better then first row seats at plaza sing .

despite my infatuation with hugh jackman , the part of the movie that made me contemplate the most was Éponine with her one sided love for Marius . obviously because i think it is foolish , self derogatory and i detest people who are weak like that . i have no qualms if you know where to draw the line .

hence lesson- enforce self to never get too caught up with one sided feelings

* although i suppose the movie is all about letting go of hate and learning to love in it's place . also you need to give plenty of love and forgiveness before you are rewarded , but the rewards reaped could be much better *

the guillotines-

no denying that i always like wuxia flicks so of course i like this too . 
movie has plenty of action , i like the cast because all of them seemingly play their roles very well .
plus i felt the plot was quite good and the open ending is refreshing for once .


was deciding on my favourite during the first bit of the movie:

wolf (played by huang xiaoming)

generally i think i would have preferred wolf if leng wasn't so cute :p

but he was so ...

(and yes i prefer them rugged to clean cut)

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL ~

i chased your love around a figure 8 ,
i need you more than i can take .

Recently my posts always seem to be picture posts . idk why also .
so continuing the ongoing trend ; today's will be filled with pictures too .

i seem to be down on luck this past week because in addition to lousy luck at work ,
i have lousy skin luck too . new face acne plus knee infection appeared last week . #%*!

the thing i hate most about being fair is that i always get obvious scarring when my wounds heal .
really hate it ! D: . will try to get some sun this saturday to see if any improvements .
(oh , fyi striped type scars are ok with me but i immensely dislike the spotted ones)

as part of my usually dominant pessimistic nature , observation shows that i always start with unhappy stuff first . LOL . anyway . this past week has many joyous occasions such as Clement & Merlyn's ROM , the advanced birthday celebration for merl and advanced birthday celebration for WT . and my off days on wednesday and thursday .

did her advanced birthday celebration for her on the 13th !

well i sorta had quite some time to kill cuz clement and merl's rom registration took longer den expected . the easiest way to kill time (to me) is shopping , especially trying clothes .

but since i did my hair up , i only tried cardigans:

recently i've also done abit of shopping at bossini .
cuz there's a good discount there and their fitting rooms are convenient to snap ootd shots lolol .

i dunno but i find the original price a mark up price and after discount it'll be reasonable to cheap .
the current discount they are having depends on the item , seemingly to range from 30 to 50% .
thereafter there's also an additional 20% discount if you quote them the number 2525 (which you can get from liking their facebook page)

haha~ well they have a good range of clothes , like the cardigan above , black with white swan prints .
which now , after discount is 19.60 .

i didnt get the cardigan cuz there were no sizes at bugis .
so since i was at JP today picking some christmas presents , went to try sizes .

but instead , decided that i prefer their black sweater with golden cat prints !
