Each time i think we may be getting a step closer,

each time it gets more daunting.

true, ive learnt not to hope for anything,

but that doesnt mean ive lost sight of that tiny glimmer.

it may have been wishful thinking more than anything

its may probably not have been what i really want

what makes you happy, what sets you the most at ease.

but still, for that, i have never given up.

fainter and fainter it glows...

if there is no you, i will be independent and wait.

settling for second best isnt right.

i used to think, maybe, perhaps, if, by chance.

but it doesnt happen, and so it will never be.
